Have a photo of this place in real life? Add it here and the game learns how it really looks: the houses, shops, streets and everything else get built more like the real Lerum.
Your photo goes along with this view, and where it is and which way it faces, so we know just what it shows.
We love it when you help the game like this. Thank you! 💛
Only where the photo was taken and which way it faces go with it: everything else stored in the photo (the camera, the time) is left behind. Up to 3 at a time; you can also drop them straight onto the game.Press any button to close · it's under How to play in the menu too
Turn your phone sideways to drive.
Best times and ghosts are kept per vehicle. You're in the Pinky.
⚠ Others see it over your vehicle online and on the leaderboard, so pick a nickname, not your real name.
Picking another one restarts the game to apply it, so a race you're in starts over.
⚠ Others will see this name, so don't use your real name: pick a nickname.
Online, everyone driving right now shows up in your Lerum, and you in theirs, with your name over your vehicle. It's also the name on the public leaderboard, if you put your scores there. Change it here any time; the leaderboard follows.
W A S D or arrows drive, brake and reverse · Space handbrake · Shift / B boost · H horn · C camera · M map, click it to spawn there · R back to road · V vehicle · L leaderboard · T time · Y weather · O photo mode · U sound · Esc menu. A game controller (Xbox, PlayStation, Stadia, 8BitDo…, over Bluetooth or USB): RT gas, LT brake, left stick steers, right stick looks around, A handbrake, X (or RB) boost, LB wheelie (on a bike), B fly / land (then left stick up / down, X boost), Y camera, a click of the left stick back to road, View / Select map, Start or the Stadia / Xbox button menu. D-pad: ↑ vehicle, ↓ horn, ← time, → weather; click the right stick for photo mode. In the menu the D-pad or stick moves, A picks, B goes back. On the big map the left stick moves the marker, the right stick the map, RT / LT zoom, A spawns there and Y finds your vehicle. It rumbles when you crash or land hard. Press any button once so the browser sees the controller.
Drag on the left half to steer (or switch to tilt steering in the menu). Hold GAS / BRAKE on the right and slide between them. DRIFT sits above ⚡ BOOST, above GAS; 🛸 above BRAKE flies. At the top: ↺ back to road, 🚗 change vehicle, 🎥 camera, 📷 photo mode, 🗺 map (or tap the round minimap; tap the map to spawn anywhere), ☰ menu.
Get going faster than about 30 km/h, turn and pull the handbrake (SpaceDRIFT) so the back slides out. Sliding sideways scores points, more the faster and wider you slide. Every 1.5 s you hold it the multiplier goes up, to ×5. Stop sliding for a moment and the drift is banked. Hit anything first and it's lost.
The three pink rings (Bagges torg, Lidl, Lerums Arena) are drift zones: everything counts double. Tip: tap the handbrake to start the slide, then hold it with gas and steering. Drifting refills boost faster too.
There's no jump button. Hit a crest fast and the vehicle takes off when the road drops away under it. The faster you go, the bigger the jump, so boost on the way up. While you're up, a counter shows your air time, height and best. More than 0.6 s in the air scores: air time and height both count. Your best jump is your longest air time. Land too hard and you lose a drift you were holding. Flying and water don't count.
The meter under the speed burns in about 2.5 s and refills by itself, faster while drifting. It doesn't work in the air, unless you're flying.
F takes off: W / S thrust and brake, A / D turn, Space / E climb, Shift / Q sink, B boost. F again lands. 🛸 FLY takes off and LAND lands. Push the left stick up / down to climb and sink, and hold ⚡ BOOST for speed. You can't land on roofs, buildings block you below their roofs, and the ceiling is 250 m up.
Centrumsprinten and Lerum runt are checkpoint races on the roads. Himlaloppet is flown through rings in the sky. Each checkpoint shows your split against your best run, and your best run drives along as a see-through blue ghost.
A way to drive rather than a race, next to Drive alone and Drive online: it starts from wherever you are, and 1000 hens run about all over Lerum (they're the dots on the map). There's no clock: like the plutonium, the ones you've hit are kept, so drop in whenever you like. You can change vehicle and spawn from the map while you're at it. Drive alone or Drive online leaves it, and you drive on from where you are. How many you've hit goes on the leaderboard.
If you say yes under 🏆 Leaderboard, your best time in each race, your best drift and your longest jump go on a global leaderboard under your online name, for anyone to see, so use a nickname, not your real name. Change the name under Online and the leaderboard follows. Which Secrets you've found goes along too, seen only by whoever looks after the game. Say no, or change your mind later, and they're removed. Scores are deleted a year after they were set, and offensive names (or times nobody could drive) are taken off.
26 ☢ cans are hidden around Lerum: on the tallest roofs (fly up), under bridges, out over the water and on landmarks. A faint green beam shows where one is when you're close.
Traffic drives the real roads and stops when you hit it. People jump out of the way (the horn scares them too). Commuter trains run both tracks and stop at Aspedalen and Lerum. They're solid, so race them or get knocked aside. Type a name under Online in the menu to drive with everyone else.
Drive – and fly, and dive – through Lerum, built from open geodata: real streets, buildings, terrain, Säveån and Aspen.
Privacy: no cookies, no tracking. Your best times, ghosts and settings are kept in this browser. Only if you say yes to the leaderboard are your name, best times, drift and jump (with the vehicle and when) saved on our server, under a random ID for this browser; you can remove them any time under Leaderboard, and they're deleted a year after they were set. Hateful or offensive names aren't accepted and are removed if they get through. The name you type is shown to the others driving right now. The game passes it and your vehicle's position on through a small relay (Cloudflare), and fetches Lerum's live weather from Open-Meteo. Use a nickname, not your real name. In photo mode you can share photos of real places in Lerum, to teach the game how they look. Only if you do is the photo sent, redrawn without what's stored in it, with only where it was taken and which way it faces, along with the game's view from there. Only the one who makes the game sees them; they're deleted after 30 days unless used for building it. Nothing about you is kept with them; to stop floods, the relay counts how many come from one address in a day, kept only scrambled and only for that day.
